Rich in carbohydrates, organic acids (citric, malic, acetic, formic, lactic, and fumaric), minerals (potassium and magnesium), vitamins (C, B1, B2, and B3), carotenoids such as lycopene (responsible for its characteristic red color), and polyphenols (flavonoids, naringenin, quercetin), this extract acts as a hydrator and antioxidant, increasing skin hydration. Together with pomegranate extract (Punica granatum), abundant in vitamins (A, B, and C), minerals (potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, and sodium), and polyphenols (punicalagins, β-carotenes, catechins, anthocyanins, and prodelphinidins), it offers mattifying, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties that combat signs of aging. Additionally, collagen, the body’s most abundant protein, is produced by fibroblast cells and plays a fundamental role in maintaining tissue structure.
